Sun Liquor – Barrel Aged Sun Rum

Description

The rum presents in the glass with a light straw color. The nose leads with strong hints of banana and Juicy Fruit gum. The initial taste explodes with more of that Juicy Fruit flavor before segueing into a somewhat Jamaican-like note. As it opens up a bit, a hint of eucalyptus develops in the finish. There’s relatively little wood influence, e.g. vanilla, to be found. Although primarily a premium mixer, it’s surprisingly smooth to sip at 94 proof, despite the lack of sugar.
